Students build real deliverables covering Figma, FigJam, Figma Auto Layout & Components, complete projects over 4, 8, or 12 weeks, receive human mentor code reviews, and earn a QR-verifiable certificate for ₹149 upon review approval with zero upfront tuition fees.

What you will build week by week
User Research, Persona Creation & Journey Mapping
Define a problem statement, conduct 3 user interviews, synthesize findings into 2 detailed personas, and map the user journey with pain points and opportunity moments.
- Documented user problem statement focused on a real-world digital friction point (e.g. medical appointments, student housing).
- Two structured user personas with behavioral traits, frustrations, and technological proficiency levels.
- Comprehensive user journey map identifying at least 3 critical drop-off touchpoints.
Information Architecture & Low-Fidelity Wireframes
Construct a sitemap and responsive wireframes for 5 core screens prioritizing visual hierarchy, intuitive navigation, and accessibility.
- Hierarchical sitemap illustrating navigation depth and user decision trees.
- 5 grayscale wireframes (desktop and mobile variations) focusing purely on content priority without color distraction.
- Adherence to basic Fitts's Law and Hick's Law layout principles.
High-Fidelity Design System & Component Library
Create an atomic design system with defined typography scales, color tokens, button states, input fields, cards, and navigation bars using Figma auto-layout and components.
- Typography scale adhering to standard 8pt grid increments with defined line heights.
- Color palette with accessible WCAG AA contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal body text).
- Reusable component library with variant states (default, hover, active, disabled, error).
Clickable Prototype & Usability Testing Report
Connect screens into a fully interactive clickable prototype with smart animations. Conduct 2 usability testing sessions and submit recorded observations.
- Interactive prototype demonstrating primary and secondary task completion flows.
- Usability test script with task completion metrics, recorded user hesitation points, and design iterations.

No. All milestone tasks can be completed using the free tier of Figma and FigJam. You will share your public view-only Figma file link for mentor review.
Can I design a mobile app or must it be a desktop website?+
You can choose either a mobile app (iOS/Android) or a responsive web application. The core requirement is providing wireframes and high-fidelity mockups for both mobile and desktop viewports.
Who should I interview for the Week 1 user research task?+
You can interview peers, family members, or colleagues who represent your target user demographic. The goal is practicing empathy, structured question formulation, and extracting behavioral insights.
How do mentors verify accessibility contrast?+
Mentors use Figma contrast checker plugins and WebAIM tools to evaluate text-to-background contrast ratios, ensuring all primary text satisfies WCAG 2.1 AA standards.
Is coding required in the UI/UX Design track?+
No coding is required. The track focuses entirely on research, information architecture, wireframing, design systems, and prototyping in Figma. However, designing with developer handoff in mind is emphasized.
Can I use the case study created here in my Behance or personal portfolio?+
Yes. We encourage students to publish their process, persona diagrams, and high-fidelity screens directly to Behance, Dribbble, Notion, or personal portfolio websites.
